Improvising feels like a mystery until someone hands you the actual tools — then it’s just a skill like any other. This workshop is built around playing, not lecturing: you’ll be soloing within the first half hour.

We’ll work over a simple blues and a familiar standard, using a small toolkit of patterns and target notes that make you sound intentional even on your very first solo. You’ll play in the group, get feedback in the moment, and leave with a repeatable practice approach for building your own vocabulary.

By the end of the session, you’ll have:

• A simple 3-note framework for soloing over a blues
• Real playing time in a supportive small group, not a lecture
• A practice routine to keep building improv skills at home
